Antique 1916 Italian Master Arturo Castelli Mountain Landscape Oil Painting

The artwork is a mountain landscape by Arturo Castelli (1870–1919), signed and dated 1916. It measures 46 x 24 cm. The painting depicts a serene, natural scene with a focus on a mountain range in the background, likely inspired by the Alps or a similar European mountain range given Castelli's Italian heritage. The foreground features tall, slender trees, possibly pines, with a misty or atmospheric quality to the mountains, suggesting early morning or late afternoon light. The colors appear muted and earthy, with soft greens, browns, and blues, giving the piece a tranquil and timeless feel. Castelli's style seems to align with late 19th to early 20th-century landscape traditions, possibly influenced by Romanticism or Impressionism, emphasizing nature's beauty and emotional resonance.
